From November 23th to December 1st, 2009, Ms. Yuan Changyu, Board Chairman of CMMC, led a delegation to make an on-the-spot investigation and negotiation in Myanmar and Nepal. In Myanmar, She visited Mr.AUNG DHAUNG, minister of the first industry. Ms. Yuan introduced the current development situation of our company, and submission of tender for glass plant project in Myanmar. Mr. AUNG DHAUNG expressed that they had a long history of cooperation with CMMC, especially the successful cooperation in rebuilding sheet glass plant, which had good quality and works well now. With great approval of the brand-CMMC, he established a deep friendship with us. As a result, he gave a priority to CMMC in this glass plant project, and instructed ceramic industry bureau that they must notify CMMC as early as possible in bidding stage of a new project. Meanwhile, our company was participating in two bids for equipment of cement plant. In Nepal, Ms.Yuan visited premier of Nepal, finance minister, chairman of communist party of Nepal, governor of Himalayan Bank etc., respectively. She said that our company had made great effort to exploit Nepal market and gained achievements. Both Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (group) Company and CMMC had the competence and willingness to challenge Nepal market. Nepal government showed their strong support for Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (group) Company and CMMC to develop there. Ms.Yuan also negotiated with the owner of Nepal’s largest hydropower station construction project which is in bidding stage now, and made great achievements.
